Botox or Botulinum toxin A is a product of specific bacteria – clostridium botulinum, which produces a class of chemical compounds known as “toxins”. After pharmacological treatment a purified, faintly concentrated form of the toxin is used for medical purposes. Injecting botox in small doses into specific muscles by a certified doctor, blocks the chemical signals and disables excessive muscle contractions and therefore the formation of wrinkles.
BOTOX/ DYSPORT is used for the cosmetic treatment of frown area wrinkles, crow’s feet wrinkles, forehead horizontal lines and neck bands. BOTOX/ DYSPORT has also been used to treat migraine headaches, excessive perspiration disorders (hyperhidrosis) of the armpit and hands. It is NOT recommended to treat the lines on the lower half of the face. Muscles in these regions are significant for usual daily functions and it is not recommended for them to be weakened.
BOTOX/ DYSPORT injections are customized for every patient, depending on his or her particular needs. BOTOX/ DYSPORT application effect lasts from four to six months, and after that the muscle completely recovers. Following that, the treatment can be repeated an unlimited number of times without any contraindications. The treatments can be interrupted at any time without any fear that there will be any consequences to the face.

BOTOX/ DYSPORT cannot stop the process of aging. It can however, temporarily diminish the look of wrinkles caused by contraction of certain muscle groups. BOTOX/ DYSPORT injections may be performed as a singular procedure or as an adjunct to another aesthetic procedure.
